Having such fun with colour in this series. This pink and green is so pretty and spring like, but I’m playing with more autumnal palettes too. I love the changing seasons, and I love how abstract art can evoke an impression or a feeling, without having to be explicit. Has the feel of the season noticeably changed where you are?

One of my faves from earlier this year, before lockdown, and my work taking a different direction for a while.
I will return to this series though at some point, as there is yet more to be explored here don’t you think? Different paths and detours - all part of the creative process....

So, a series of these are emerging in my studio right now. Some on canvas (like this 50cm square one) some on board and others on paper. I’m having fun playing with different colour combos. Is there a pair of colours you’d like to see on one of these? Let me know and I’ll give it a go!

This 20cm x 20cm framed canvas can be wall hung or freestanding on a surface to liven up that spot that just needs a little something 😊

Lots of fun been had today, scribbling, flinging and splattering paint. A great activity for releasing pent up emotions positive or negative. Why not give it a try sometime, it will make you feel so much better 😁
That aside, a new series is emerging and I’m really happy with how it’s developing. This one in harmonious colours is almost there. Quite subtle for me, but of course I also have some much higher contrast ones in the pipeline too - coming soon!!

Latest in the (continually expanding) celebration

Latest in the (continually expanding) celebration series just finished. “Spring Carnival” is 50cm x 50cm (approx 20” x 20”) acrylic on stretched canvas.
Don’t know about you, but I’m so ready for the weekend. I’m planning on a couple of boot fairs but other than that mostly chilling at home. With C cases rising again here, laying low again seems the wisest POA for now🥴. Roll on 2021 eh?!!
