About me:

I am a British contemporary abstract artist and painter, based in Eastbourne England. With a training and background in textile design, my work has a primary focus on colour, pattern and texture. My work is most often described as either vibrant and joyful or calm and peaceful. Work is created intuitively. An emotion, a colour palette and/or a symbol or motif, can be the catalyst for inspiration. I am also often inspired by the power of a word or a phrase. This may, or may not, end up visible in the finished piece, but still gives the work its meaning.

Over time I have developed a unique, expressive personal style. I incorporate a selective use of mixed media techniques, along with the more traditional paints and glazes. I aim to create work that makes a strong visual statement as a whole, but also has richly layered surfaces full of depth and visual interest close to.

From time to time I blog about current projects, things that inspire me, and give a sneak peek into my process behind the scenes in my studio. Please do sign up to my mailing list for advance notice of blog posts, fairs, exhibitions and new collection releases.

All artworks are created using professional quality materials, and originals are supplied with a certificate of authenticity.

Canvases are gallery wrapped typically with a depth of either 2cm or 4.5cm (1 1/2″) for a contemporary finish.

All artworks not on paper, are finished with a coat of matt or satin finish varnish for protection.

Some smaller pieces are supplied in unglazed frames.

All pieces including canvases can be supplied framed, a range of options are available on request.

Unless otherwise stated, works on paper and fine art prints are supplied in a tube, rolled.
