Inspired by childhood visits to the fairground, this painting is part of a series created by experimenting with sweeping, expressive brushstrokes. The colours (greens and blues) and the brushstrokes evoke the movement and excitement of rides of the carousel, or the waltzers, and the joyful sensations of being whizzed around and around at speed.
